Pumpkin Patch
Tours for
School Groups
October, 2015

The tour begins at the Pumpkin Dispatch, with a hayride to the pumpkin patch where the children are encouraged to walk through and look at all the pumpkins and vines.  We’ll talk briefly about how we grow pumpkins on the farm and each child will be given their own pumpkin seeds to grow next year.  Then we will hop on the wagons for our return trip to the Pumpkin Dispatch.   Refreshments will be served to the children (cookies and apple cider) while in Pumpkin Dispatch.  Each child will receive a coloring book and a “munchkin pumpkin”
 (approximately 2-4” in diameter).

Our tours run weekdays throughout October and last approximately 1 ½ hours depending on the number attending.  We will need an accurate number that will be attending (parents and teachers included), so that we will be prepared and avoid unnecessary waits for the children.

Tours are welcome to bring lunches to eat while at the farm.  However, you MUST NOTIFY us at the time you schedule the tour that you would like to eat lunch so that we can reserve the picnic area for your group.  As we all know the weather isn’t always cooperative. Please be sure that the children dress appropriately, as this is an outdoor event.  Tours will not be rescheduled if there is a rain out.

To allow the children to have the most enjoyable time, we must be prepared for them!  So if you plan on eating lunch, or bringing more than you scheduled, please call ahead.  We will be glad to work with your group in any way, but we must know prior to your arrival if you would like to do something different.

For further information or to schedule a tour, please call Lisa at 270-554-1403, at your earliest convenience, as we fill up fast!

Looking forward to seeing you in OCTOBER!!!
